Kristineshamn

Kristineshamn skatepark is located in the activity area of the newly renovated central park. Our idea was to develop the skatepark as a public space, where the skatepark becomes a part of events and activites that will be happening in the city park. The skatepark features a lot of different street elements that are integrated into the surrounding landscape designed by Karavan landscape architects. The design language from the 70’s bathouse in Kristineshamn is found in some of the skate equipment and also lighting. Warm colours in brown, orange and corten steel interact with the park’s greenery and the surrounding building. The design language was made together with the landscape architects and has a low-key with a clear identity of its own.

Multiparken Helsingør

MpH, or Multiparken Helsingør, is an urban project based on spontaneous sports and street culture. The park features facilities and spaces for street soccer, music and concerts, parkour, skateboarding and more. The project is a forerunner and sets the standard for similar projects to come on how multifunctional youth parks can be successful. The project covers a total of 10 000m2, of which 800m2 is an enclosed bowl, 700m2 a smaller flow park and 1 700m2 of street plaza.

Kristianstad

The Street plaza in Kristianstad is a project which plays with the boundary between skatepark and urban space, by combining the materiality of the city with the functions of a skatepark. Located near the center of town, the Streetplaza bridges the gap between a large shopping mall and the canal, creating a welcoming place for both skaters and passersby.

Throughout the design process we worked closely with the municipality and a local reference group to create an innovative urban typology that is a paradise for street skaters.

Helligdommen

Helligdommen Skatepark in Gentofte, north of Copenhagen, is one of the most legendary skate spots in Denmark. In 2012, Pivotech won the competition to renovate the existing skatepark. Our design is a circular park made in granite that has a selection of street obstacles combined with a level difference, which offers endless skate opportunities. The park has also been outfitted with an indoor skatepark with the same paving as in our outdoor skatepark. The wooden building was designed by Vandkunsten.

Skatepark 135

Skatepark 135 is integrated in a green valley close to Nybodaskolan in Tyresö. The street plaza is designed with low height differences, creating very playful obstacles and offering space for both beginners and experienced skateboarders.
